About the role: We are seeking an Support Technician(Electronics) toprovide customer support and internal electronic diagnosticsand repair tasks. This role would suit somebody with a goodunderstanding of electronics systems – both hardwareand firmware and some customer service experience or passion will behelpful. University-grads are welcomed, and training would be provided. There will be stock management & procurement, producttesting and validation responsibilities. We need someone who can bring acreative R&D mindset, along with practical technical knowledge, to get tothe heart of complex problems in a collaborative environment. For the most partof your job, you will maintain, adjust and repair electronic equipment such asAutomotive Scanner, Vehicle ECUs and sensors. Your duties will include:
- Answer customers phone call and email for support inquiries, understand the technical problem customer facing, advising users of correct operating procedures and skill to carry out automotive diagnosis and prevent malfunctions.
- By communicating and remote controlling customers devices, collecting technical information such as DTC, software data-log, work environment information, communication signal, for further analysis.
- Applying knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical and other engineering principles in Automotive diagnosis, repairing, coding and programming job that customer needs help, suggesting solution plan or research direction.
- Liaising with supplier's engineer team, technical distributor, and other specialists contacts, discussing technical issues in the market, and feasibility of passable solutions.
- Examining and testing automotive scanner, vehicle ECUs, and instruments of autonomous driving system to diagnose faults, and carry out adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining, reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment on-site or in the internal workshop.
- Preparing equipment after sale and adjusting and testing equipment after delivering.
- Carry out internal research project and prepare report
We are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science or ICT or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Relevant Electrical technician experience in a similar role or industry is preferred or a fast learner with positive attitude.
- Experience in electronic circuits, low–power battery-based designs and micro-controller-based designs is preferred but not necessary
- Someone familiar with soldering, or confident to learn soldering skill.
- Someone with a passion working on vehicles and machinery.
- Someone with comprehensive understanding of the English language, a bonus if you can also read and speak in a second language such as Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, German to understand more industrial tech info.
