We are award-winning Chartered Accountant firm (ATE) based in Auckland. We are looking for someone to join us with BAS advisory and tax accounting duties.
As a BAS Accountant, you will report to the manager, team leader, and work closely with the wider team. You will be responsible for:
- Answering and managing incoming calls from customers
- Xero Bank reconciliation
- Prepare GST, PAYE and Income Tax returns
- Xero Bookkeeping services
- Working on a variety of business advisory projects for different industries
- Prepare presentation slides for the client and management team
- General admin duties as directed by your supervisor
Skills and Experience:
- A positive can-do attitude
- Previous experience in an accounting role will be an advantage.
- A confident and clear phone manner
- Great attention to detail
- A willingness to learn new skills
- Fantastic timemanagement
As a Graduate Tax Accountant, you will report to the manager, team leader, and work closely with the wider team. You will be responsible for:
- Xero Bank reconciliation
- Prepare GST, PAYE and Income Tax returns
- Communicate with IRD regarding tax issues for clients
- Assist seniors with IRD tax audit and tax debt negotiation
- Working on FIF and CFC tax issues
- Attending tax consulting meetings with a senior
- General admin duties as directed by your supervisor
Skills and Experience:
- A positive can-do attitude
- A minimum of Bachelor degree in accounting and tax
- Previous experience in an accounting role will be an advantage.
- A confident and clear phone manner
- Excellent email and letter writing skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn new skills
- Fantastic time management
